Arizona picked up another wide receiver in the transfer portal on Wednesday after former Washington State and Oregon wide receiver Kris Hutson committed to the Wildcats.
Hutson joined former New Mexico Lobo Luke Wysong as receivers joining Arizona via the transfer portal.
The 5-11, 175-pound Hutson is entering his sixth year of eligibility after four seasons at Oregon and this past season at Washington State, where he caught 54 passes for 683 yards and two touchdowns.
Hutson had nine catches for 126 yards in a 45-24 loss to College Football Playoff-bound Boise State.
In four seasons at Oregon, Hutson caught 80 passes for 936 yards and two touchdowns. Hutson had two catches for 60 yards in the Ducks' 49-22 win over Arizona in Tucson during the 2022 season.
The Compton, California native signed with the Ducks in 2020 as a four-star recruit from national powerhouse St. John Bosco High School. Hutson was the second St. John Bosco product to commit to Arizona on Wednesday: safety Jshawn Frausto-Ramos transferred from Stanford.
Hutson bolsters an Arizona receiver group that just lost star Tetairoa McMillan to the NFL Draft and four others to the transfer portal, including AJ Jones, who committed to Middle Tennessee.
Arizona returns two starters in slot receiver Jeremiah Patterson and redshirt sophomore Chris Hunter, who ascended in the second half of the season with 35 catches for 323 yards and two touchdowns. Hunter had 102 yards on seven catches in Arizona's loss to UCF, then made two acrobatic touchdown grabs against TCU. Hunter is the only player from Arizona's top five pass-catchers to return in 2025.
The Wildcats have six additions in the transfer portal.
