Arizona junior wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan was named a First-Team Associated Press All-America selection on Monday.

Tucson native and former Salpointe Catholic defensive back Lathan Ransom was named a third-team AP All-American.

Ransom, an All-Big Ten safety for Ohio State, is one of the Buckeyes’ top defenders with 56 tackles, three forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and an interception this season.

McMillan, who was a third-team AP All-American last year, became the first Wildcat to earn first-team honors since linebacker Scooby Wright in 2014. McMillan is the first UA offensive player to receive first-team AP All-America honors since Ka’Deem Carey in 2013.

McMillan was also recently named an AP All-Big 12 selection and received All-America honors by Pro Football Focus, CBS and 247Sports. He’s also Polynesian College Football Player of the Year finalist. McMillan is now eligible for the Ring of Honor at Arizona Stadium.

This season, McMillan totaled 84 catches for 1,319 yards and eight touchdowns. McMillan also had 430 yards after catch this season, according to Pro Football Focus.

In three years at Arizona, McMillan recorded a school-record 3,423 yards and 26 touchdowns, which is the third-most in program history. McMillan passed current Arizona wide receivers coach Bobby Wade for the career receiving record in the final road game at TCU.

McMillan has 1,162 yards after catch in his career and his 213 career receptions ranks fourth in UA history behind Mike Thomas, Wade and Dennis Northcutt. McMillan owns the single-game receiving record with 304 yards and four touchdowns, which he set in the season opener against New Mexico in August.

McMillan officially declared for the NFL Draft last week and is expected to land in the Top 10.
