Prior to Arizona joining the Big 12 for 2024-25 and beyond, one of the more recent meetings between any UA and Texas Tech teams came on Sept. 7, 2023, when Nicole Dallin (right) and the Wildcats played Hannah Anderson (left) and the Red Raiders to a 1-1 draw in soccer at Mulcahy Stadium in Tucson. The teams won’t face each other in the Wildcats’ first Big 12 season, but surely will in the years to come.

Nicole Dallin scored four goals as the Arizona soccer team posted its second straight shutout win to open the season, routing visiting Pacific 5-0 on Sunday in Tucson.

Dallin found the net in the 10th, 23rd, 49th and 52nd minutes. She has scored five of the team's six goals this season. She is the first UA player since 2014 to record a hat trick and just the third Wildcat ever to have at least four goals in a game.

She scored on every shot attempt she took in the win.

Shanti Weddington scored UA's other goal, in the 37th minute, to help Arizona to a 3-0 halftime lead.

Arizona outshot the Tigers (1-1) 17-3 and didn't allow a shot on goal. UA scored on five of its seven shots on goal.

UA (2-0) opened its season with a 1-0 victory at Grand Canyon last week. The Wildcats next host Northern Arizona at 7 p.m. Thursday. NAU (0-0-1) tied ASU 1-1 in Tempe on Friday.
