Bobby Jones Bracket

• No. 48 Ryan Moore def. No. 32 Nick Watney, 19 holes. Despite nine birdies, Watney couldn't win as Moore, who lost the first two holes, fought back by playing 7-under par the rest of the way.

• No. 9 Luke Donald def. No. 57 Matteo Manassero, 3 and 2. A bogey-free day for Donald put him easily into the final group of eight; Manassero never held a lead after losing the first hole.

Ben Hogan Bracket

• No. 13 Matt Kuchar def. No. 29 Rickie Fowler, 2 and 1. With birdies at the first two holes, Kuchar grabbed a 1-up lead and didn't trail all day. Fowler failed with bogeys (or worse) at Nos. 10, 11 and 12.

• No. 44 Y.E. Yang def. No. 5 Graeme McDowell, 3 and 2. A blazing finish for Yang - four straight birdies - eliminated last year's U.S. Open champion, who was even par for the day.

Gary Player Bracket

• No. 2 Martin Kaymer def. No. 18 Hunter Mahan, 2 and 1. The tournament's top-seeded quarterfinalist didn't take his first lead until No. 16, getting hot with birdies at Nos. 15 and 16 to win it.

• No. 23 Miguel Angel Jimenez def. No. 39 Ben Crane, 7 and 6. The Spaniard won the first four holes, then won Nos. 8-10 to bump off Crane, who at one point was 5-over par.

Sam Snead Bracket

• No. 19 Bubba Watson def. No. 30 Geoff Ogilvy, 6 and 4. At 6-under par for the day through just 14 holes, Watson had no trouble with the two-time former champion.

• No. 22 J.B. Holmes def. No. 38 Jason Day, 1 up. Day rallied to tie and go ahead, 1-up, with birdies at Nos. 11, 13 and 15, then had bogeys at Nos. 17 and 18, allowing Holmes to advance.
