Going social

Heading to Yuma on our way to ASU stadium."Â â Mica Mountain senior athlete Riley Carson posted on X about the Thunderboltsâ 21-14 win at Snowflake, the state semifinal at Yuma Gila Ridge and the state championship game at ASU.
Quotable I
âThis was fun, exploring new things together. So much growth together. I always believed in our guys and then we really started getting it rolling and I thought we had something going here. We were getting better every week and a few different things here and we could have kept it going, but Iâm very proud of my guys and Iâm going to miss my seniors like crazy.â â Tanque Verde head coach Jeffrey Bollnow told AZPreps365.com after the Hawks lost 29-16 to St. Johns in the 2A state semifinals, TVâs first final four appearance.
Quotable II
âI told (Desert View sophomore Jaylee Abraham) after the game that heâs going to be a pain in the butt for the next couple years. Heâs going to be the next greatest running back out of Tucson, if not all of Arizona. Heâs a heck of a player, man, and heâs a good kid. He plays both ways, and he has a high motor.â â Waddell Canyon View head coach Manuel Alcantar said to All Sports Tucson after his blue Jaguars knocked out Desert View.
