Catalina Foothills' boys tennis team can win its 50th straight match on Tuesday, when it hosts 16th-seeded Surprise Willow Canyon in the first round of the Division II state tournament.

The top-seeded Falcons are the two-time defending champs, riding a 49-match winning streak since losing in the state semifinals in 2013.

Foothills is one of eight local teams in action on Tuesday, with Nogales,Β Pusch Ridge Christian, Salpointe Catholic, and Tanque Verde also hosting first-round matches. Here's a look at the schedule:

First round – Tuesday, 3 p.m.

No. 16 Surprise Willow Canyon at No. 1 Catalina Foothills

No. 15 Canyon del Oro at No. 2 Pusch Ridge Christian

No. 11 Chandler Prep vs. No. 6 Salpointe Catholic at Tucson Racquet Club

No. 9 Scottsdale Notre Dame at No. 8 Nogales
