The ceremonial mace is marched onto the floor as the Pima Community College graduation gets underway May 17, 2018.

Thirty-four individual athletes at Pima Community College earned NJCAA All-Academic honors, the school announced Thursday. The Aztecs' women's basketball team was honorable mention.

The athletic program topped its best total of individual student-athletes on the list for the second straight year, not including the 16 athletes on the women's team. Coach Todd Holthaus' Aztecs completed the academic year with a cumulative team GPA of 3.20.

"This is one of the highest compliments this program has received," Holthaus said. "Our counselors Valerie Vidal-King and Ernesto Garcia are the best, and what they do every day for our student-athletes is remarkable. I can't thank them enough for all they've done for our program."

The student-athletes selected had to complete two full-time semesters of college work, participate in at least one season at Pima, pass a minimum of 24 semester hours in the current academic year and earn a minimum GPA of 3.6.

The 34 individual student-athletes to earn All-Academic accolades are listed below.
