Hundreds of cyclists are riding along the Chuck Huckelberry Loop this Saturday to celebrate the kickoff of the annual El Tour de Tucson season.

The seventh annual Loop de Loop, hosted by the folks at El Tour de Tucson and Pima County, begins at 7 a.m. and ends at noon.

Riders of all ages are welcome to participate in the event and can start at Rillito Park Race Track or join in at any point along the Loop.

Following the ride, cyclists can stop by the afterparty taking place at Rillito Park, on the southeast end of Rillito Park Race Track, 4502 N. First Ave.

A biker heads south along the Chuck Huckelberry Loop just outside the boundary with the CalPortland plant, in Tucson on Sept. 14, 2024.

The afterparty includes food, drinks, free raffle tickets and live music. Local band Bloomstone will be performing from 10 a.m. to noon.

More than 40 nonprofits will also be on site, so cyclists can chat and learn more about local organizations to get a jump start on finding their cause for El Tour de Tucson.

The 42nd annual El Tour de Tucson begins at 7 a.m. on Nov. 22 at the Tucson Convention Center.
