Since the NBA Draft started nearly 80 years ago, the Arizona Wildcats have produced 75 draft picks.

Former Arizona forward Carter Bryant is expected to be the 76th Wildcat to hear his name called at the NBA Draft. UA star guard Caleb Love, who is a projected second-round pick or undrafted free agent, could be the 77th if he’s selected on Thursday.

Since 1979, Arizona has had 26 players taken in the first round of the NBA Draft, with Bryant expected to be the 27th. Bryant is a projected Top 10 and lottery pick in the first round of the NBA Draft, which begins Wednesday. Carter could be the 10th UA player drafted in the Top 10 this century.

With draft day officially here, here’s a look at every first-round pick from Arizona, when and where they went, and how they fared as pros:

Anthony Cook and the Arizona Wildcats lost to UNLV in the 1989 NCAA Tournament, ending what had been a historic season.

Pick: No. 3 overall

Team: San Antonio Spurs

Career stats: Elliott averaged 14.2 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game over 13 seasons. Elliott was a two-time all-star and helped the Spurs win the 1999 NBA championship. Elliott’s game-winning 3-pointer in Game 2 of the 1999 Western Conference Finals, dubbed “Memorial Day Miracle,” is considered one of the top plays in Spurs history.

Brian Williams, later known as Bison Dele, helped the Bulls win the NBA title in 1997.

Career stats: Williams — who later changed his name to Bison Dele — averaged 11 points and 6.2 rebounds per game over eight seasons and helped the Bulls win the 1997 NBA championship.

Career stats: Mills averaged 11.2 points and 4.9 rebounds per game over 10 seasons.

Guard Khalid Reeves averaged 24.2 points a game in his last two seasons, taking UA to the 1994 Final Four. The Queens, N.Y., native was a first-round draft pick of the Miami Heat.

Damon Stoudamire was drafted No. 7 by Toronto in 1995, and won Rookie of the Year honors for the Raptors.

Arizona's Mike Bibby was almost the top pick in 1998, when the Vancouver Grizzlies took him at No. 2.

Richard Jefferson, picked 13th overall, was a highly effective scorer for the Nets for nearly a decade, reaching the NBA Finals in 2002 and 2003.
