Tucson Swimming Lessons

If your kids need swim lessons, it's time to think about signing them up.

City, county and town pools are getting ready to open registration for classes (if they haven't already), and they're pretty affordable which means they can fill up fast.

Here's what you need to know.

Pima County

This year you can register for Pima County's summer swim lessons online starting at 6 a.m. May 15. You can go online before that and create an account here. Registration ends on the Wednesday before the start of each session.

Lessons cost $20 for a two-week session of eight classes. The county says many of the pools sell out each summer, so make sure to register early.

Families who are currently on a government assistance program may qualify for a free swim session for their children. Free registrations are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are only available during Sessions 1 and 2.
