The new splash pad at Palo Verde Park just opened and is packed with kids every day.

East side families have a new option for cooling off this summer.

A splash pad opened last week at Palo Verde Pool, 355 S. Mann Ave.

The new water feature is part of the improvements at the park funded by Prop. 407, a $225 million bond package dedicated to park improvements throughout the city.

The splash pad is open from 8 a.m. to sunset every day and is free to use.

The Palo Verde Pool also saw some upgrades before opening for the summer, including new pool liners and resurfaced decks.
