Tucson in September is a wonderful time. We made it though the worst of the summer and we've got so many fun outdoor events to look forward to — 42 days till Tucson Meet Yourself, 65 days till the All Souls Procession and 99 days till Winterhaven Festival of Lights BTW.

48th Saguaro National Park Labor Day 8-Miler & 5K Walk/Run
Run an eight-mile course in Saguaro National Park East and enjoy the scenic desert landscape.
It's the oldest race held every year by the Southern Arizona Roadrunners.
Space is limited, so sign up before the event to better your chances at a spot.

Mexican Independence Concert at the Fox Theater
Celebrate Mexican Independence Day a day early with a free concert hosted by the the Mexican Consulate and the Instituto Cultural Mexicano De Tucson.

El Tour Loop the Loop
Kick off the El Tour season with a free cycling event around The Loop, a shared-use path that connects the Rillito River Park, Santa Cruz River Park and the Pantano River Park among other spots.

Roasted Chile Festival
The Rincon Valley Farmers and Artisans Market is hosting their yearly roasted chile festival, so you might want to stop by and take a whiff of that sweet smoky air.
Enjoy the beer garden, activities for the kids, and live music. Vendors will also be there selling fresh produce, food, and a bunch of other goodies.

Shakespeare in the Park
The El Rio Theatre Project kicks off their Shakespeare in the Park performance of "A Midsummer Night's Dream"

Pride on Parade
Tucson Pride 2017 is bringing the fun with an evening parade on Fourth Avenue.
It's one of several events that are happening this month to mark the 40th anniversary of Tucson Pride — considered one of the oldest LGBTQ community events in the country.

Colonial Demonstrations at the Presidio San Agustín del Tucson
Get a look at Tucson history up close.
The Presidio Museum is getting ready for Living History Day season, which happens in October, with live colonial demonstrations of blacksmithing, soldier drills and cannon firing.

GLOW! a nighttime art experience
Jump into a illuminating wonderland of lights and magic with the return of GLOW! at the Triangle L Ranch. Let the twinkle-light path guide you through five acres of glowing sculptures, multi-media installations, performances, music and more.
There are a few GLOW! events happening this year, but the Sept. 9 date offers the cheapest admission for adults, with proceeds benefiting Oracle's San Pedro Actors Troupe.
