Sabino Canyon

This time of year is crazy, whether you're getting ready for the holidays or dealing with people who are.

But, don't lose your ish just yet.

We've got some ideas to help you take a breath.

Get a glass of wine

Picture this. It's busy out there. Cars are driving by, honking. People are struggling to carry packages to their car. But not you. You're enjoying a perfect glass of wine with your BFF or by yourself at Tucson's newest wine bar, The Royal Room. You're taking in the cozy, hip vibe and in that moment you feel relaxed and at peace. That can be you IRL.

What: Drinking wine, being merry.

Where: The Royal Room450 N. Sixth Ave.

When: Happy hour is 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.

Info: Click here.

Friends and family were invited to try the Royal Room on Saturday night.

Take in the view from "A" Mountain

Being out in nature and surrounding yourself with beauty are sure ways to feel at peace.

Head west of downtown to "A" Mountain, park your car and wander. There's a gazebo on the west side of the mountain, which makes a nice spot to sit and take it all in.

What: "A" Mountain or Sentinel Peak Park.

Where: 1000 S. Sentinel Peak Road.

Cost: Free.

Info: Click here.

Look what you can see from "A" Mountain: A lightning bolt touches down in the Catalina Mountains as afternoon monsoon storm cells roll through the range as seen from Sentinel Peak on July 18 in Tucson, Ariz.

Practice yoga

You'll forget about all of your problems, at least for an hour, while you practice yoga. It's all about living in the moment and letting things go, as well as taking care of your body.

YogaOasis offers Yoga Hour — an hour long flow class for all levels. It's a little rigorous, but you'll really appreciate Shavasana at the end, which is a two-to-five minute time of rest at the end of your practice. Trust us, it's amazing.

The yoga studio also offers a restorative class which promotes relaxation.

What: YogaHour.

Where: YogaOasis (there are three locations).

When: There are several YogaHour sessions throughout the day, depending on which location you choose.

Cost: $5 cash; $6 card.

Info: Click here.

Wander the canyon then drink coffee

Sabino Canyon is a beautiful place to reset. Spend some time breathing the fresh air and wandering a trail. Afterwards, stop at Brewd — A Coffee Lounge and have a cup of coffee, hot cocoa, hot tea, beer or wine. You can also get food there. You'll love the atmosphere, books, puzzles, board games and large windows.

Where: Sabino Canyon, 5900 N. Sabino Canyon Road and Brewd — A Coffee Lounge, 4960 N. Sabino Canyon Road.

When: Hours at Brewd are 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday through Thursday

Info: Click here for Sabino Canyon info. Click here for Brewd info.

Go to the library

Libraries are quiet. You can browse through the books, pick a couple up and read in a corner, uninterrupted for as long as you want. Or go to one of the workshops the library offers. There's knitting, bath bomb making and more. Best thing is, everything is free.

What: Pima County Public Library.

Where: There are several around town. Click here to find the one closest to you.

When: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Info: Click here.

Look at art

Being in the presence of art is definitely good for the soul. So go to the Tucson Museum of Art downtown and check out the beautiful artwork. Make a day of it and get dessert at Cafe A la C'Art. We recommend the chocolate bomb.

Where:  Tucson Museum of Art, 140 N. Main Ave.

When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.

Cost: $12.

Info: Click here.

The main gallery has been cleared of obstructions and new flooring installed throughout at the Tucson Museum of Art, 140 N Main Ave in Tucson, AZ on October 11, 2017.

Go to a tea house

Seven Cups is a traditional Chinese tea house — meaning it's a peaceful place to sit down, relax and regroup. There are more than 80 different loose leaf Chinese teas that can be served hot or iced.

Where: Seven Cups Tucson Tea House, 2516 E. Sixth Street.

When: 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
