Halloween around Tucson

Adults love Halloween just as much as kids. Sure, we don't get candy anymore but at least we get to stay up past bed time.

Here are some events happing in Tucson sure to delight and fright even the oldest of vampires.

Harry Potter Party at 1912 Brewing Company 

The 1912 Brewing Company is transforming into the Great Hall as part of their "Harry Potter Party Hallow Weekend."

Come dressed as your favorite character from the wizarding world and get ready to feel the magic — there will be Harry Potter trivia, Butter Beer and a costume contest.

Where: 1912 Brewing Company, 2045 N. Forbes Blvd. 

Cost: Free — the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona will be collecting non-perishable food and money donations at the event. 

The Centurions Fright Night 

Have a night of spooks and chills while supporting local charities at the Centurions of Southern Arizona's Fright Night.

There will be an extravagant costume contest, food buffet, live music and casino games. 

This is a 21-and-up event.

Hallow-Versary Carnival Bash

Fly like a bat in the night to St. Phillip's Plaza for an evening of food, drinking and dancing. 

A $10 cover gives you access to Halloween parties at  Reforma Modern Mexican. Tequila + Mezcal and Union Public House, and a courtyard carnival featuring circus performers and games. 

You can also enter a costume contest for a chance to win a $1,000 prize.

Hotel Congress' Halloweekend

Five days of spook await you as Hotel Congress hosts several Halloween events to thrill and chill you. 

Here's the 21-and-up event list:

Nightmare on Congress — Friday, Oct. 27 at 8 p.m., cost: $7-9, live music on two stages and a costume contest with a prize of $1,000. 

So Spooky Saturdaze — Saturday, Oct. 28 at 8 p.m., cost: $8-10, music performance by Cash'd Out

WTF AF Halloween Party — Sunday, Oct. 29 at 8 p.m., cost: free, tarot readings, costume contest and live performances. 

Devil's Night Diner — Monday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m., cost: $80, enjoy dinner at the Cup Cafe with Halloween inspired food and live entertainment — guests are asked to wear black to this event. Free Devil's Dace Party to follow the dinner at 10 p.m.

Halloween Night — Tuesday, Oct. 31 at 9 p.m., cost: $5, music, costume contest and specialty drinks.

Roach Law Firm's 13th Annual Halloween Bash 

It's a classic horror movie party and we're all invited.

Admission into the bash gets you four beer tickets and a chance to enter the costume contest. Classic horror movie outfits are encouraged for this one. 

Proceeds for this event goes to the Tucson Roller Derby and Youth On Their Own

When: Friday, Oct. 27, 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Where: The Hut, 305 N. 4th Avenue

Cost: $20

Haunted Wine-O-Treat at Mercado San Agustin

Drink wine and dress up in your Halloween costume as part of Desert Grace Tours' Haunted Wine or Treat. 

There will be wine tastings, music and a costume contest.  

50 percent of the ticket admission into the festival will be donated to help Mexico earthquake relief efforts and to Casa Maria.

Nightmare on 4th 

The Hut and O'Malley's Bar and Grill on 4th Avenue are coming together to have a big Halloween block party. 

There will be drink specials, music and a cash-prize costume contest.

NOLAween at The Parish

The Parish co-owner Steve Dunn said he wants his guests to feel at home, to treat the place like their neighborhood bar.

It's costume time for the annual party at The Parish. This year's theme is the 1980s, so dress up in something bitchin'.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase and the 80s music will be playing.

IBT's Halloween Party 

Howl at the moon during IBT's Halloween party. There will be music, a costume contest with a prize of $500 and drink specials.

Franks 'N Steins: A Tucson Festival of Books Fun-raiser 

Celebrate the upcoming 10th anniversary of the Tucson Festival of Books and the 200th anniversary of the Mary Shelley classic sci-fi book "Frankenstein" with El Guero Canelo Sonoran hot dogs and beer.

There will be lots of fun entertainment including a Bride of Frankenstein hair show and a costume fashion contest.

Halloweekend at Sky Bar

Sky Bar on Fourth Avenue ends its run of chilling events with a Halloween party on the 31st. 

There will be music, drink specials and a costume contest.

☠️ Terrifying Haunts ☠️

Nightfall at Old Tucson

The old town of Nightfall returns again to scare and entertain during the month of October.

This year it's bigger and better with an expanded footpath, haunted houses, live-action performances and family friendly attractions for the young and those faint of heart.

Choose your scare level from "I'm just going to hang out on the Monster Safari train all night" to "Let's go through all of the haunted houses five times!!"

When: Open the month of October,  Friday-Saturday 6 p.m.-midnight; Thursday, Sunday and Halloween, 6-10 p.m.

Where: Nightfall at Old Tucson, 201 S. Kinney Road

Cost: $28 general admission, $21 kids 9 to 11, ages 8 and under get in free. There is also a number ways you can score discounted tickets, check out Nightfall's website for details.

Terror in the Corn at Buckelew Farms

If you feel like being chased in a field by a sinister clown, check out Buckelew Farm Terror in the Corn — a haunted corn maze that creates a variety of new scares every year.

Children under 12 will not be admitted without a parent or adult.

When: Open every Friday in October from 6 p.m. to midnight, Saturday from 5 p.m. to midnight and Halloween from 6 p.m. to midnight.

Where: Buckelew Farm, 17000 W. Ajo Highway

Cost: Tickets start at $27

Pro tip: If you're all about the corn and not about the scare, try Buckelew's Flashlight Nights, which happens every weekend after 5 p.m. —  find more ticket information here.

The Slaughter House

Get terrified in not one, not two, but FIVE haunted attractions at The Slaughter House. This is has to be one of the most terrifying options on the list so choose your team wisely — it's not for the squeamish. 

Attractions this year include the "Voodoo Bayou", "Cirque Du Slay", "The Boiler Room" and "City Meats". They've also have mini escape rooms and an interactive haunt called "Apocalypse" when guests can defend themselves against zombies.

Free screening of Night of the Living Dead 

In a scene from "The Night of the Living Dead," the protagonists contend with reanimated corpses, aka zombies.

Get terrified watching George A. Romero's classic zombie film, "Night of the Living Dead" at The Loft Cinema.

Winona's Beetlejuice Birthday Party at Casa Film Bar

Happy 45th birthday Winona Ryder! Mark the occasion by dressing up as your favorite Winona character and head over to Casa Film Bar of a screening of "Beetlejuice" and costume contest.

The Rocky Horror Halloween Bash at The Loft 

Midnight showings of the “Rocky Horror Picture Show” — complete with costumed audience members who act out the movie as it is playing — are at the Loft the third Saturday of every month.

Get ready to Time Warp at The Loft's 38th annual Rocky Horror Halloween Bash. 

Watch the "Rocky Horror Picture Show" and follow along with the shadow cast. 

Show up dressed up too — there's a $100 grand prize for the best costume. 

No one under 17 will be admitted without a parent or guardian.

Disney Villains Trivia Night at Crooked Tooth 

Are you a Disney fan? Put your knowledge to the test at Crooked Tooth Brewing Company's Disney Villain Trivia Night. Questions will be based off of all the stuff we watched as kids. 

This is a free event, be sure to get there early to snag a spot. 

And break out those Maleficent horns and Ursula tentacles — There's also going to be a Disney Villain costume contest too.

Trick-o-Treat at PAWSH at La Encantada

Luna Yoga Halloween Open House

Luna Yoga is having a Halloween open house complete with kids yoga and pumpkin art, free yoga classes, belly dance performances and a Halloween mixer. 

Dressing up in your Halloween costumes is encouraged.
