Technically, spring doesn't start until March 20. But with sunshine in the forecast and temperatures in the high 60s and low 70s, spring might as well be here already.

Plant parents can expand their plant families with these five upcoming plant sales and swaps. 

Desert Survivors Plant Swap 

Bring plants, cuttings and seeds and swap them for something new to you during this event at Desert Survivors. 

When: 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 8

Tohono Chul Spring Plant Sale

Tohono Chul is hosting their annual spring plant sale featuring native and landscape-ready plants.

When: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, March 15-16. Members get early access from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 12.

Native Seeds/SEARCH Spring Plant Sale

Pick up herbs, veggies, wildflowers and landscape plants for your garden, thanks to local nonprofit Native Seeds/SEARCH.

When: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 15

Tucson Organic Gardeners Spring Garden Fair

Shop plants and gardening supplies at this spring plant fair with Tucson Organic Gardeners, where you can also get advice from plant experts about gardening in Tucson. You'll find plants and seeds, compost, fertilizers and more. 

When: 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 22

Where: Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind, 1200 W. Speedway
