Old Main at the University of Arizona

Let those Halloween vibes carry on throughout the week with a guided ghost tour around the University of Arizona campus this Friday.

This annual free event is hosted by the Student Alumni Ambassadors and is open to the public.

An otherworldly spirit, or UA student, will guide you through the mysterious and dark history of the UA.

The tour begins at 6 p.m. with a meet-up location on the east side of Old Main; RSVP here to join.

This is walking tour so be sure to wear comfortable shoes or your feet will be howling at the moon by the end of it.

Some of the notable haunts you will have the pleasure of strolling by include: Old Main, said to be the home of Carlos Maldenado, a supervisor who was murdered on site during the construction of the building in the 1880s; and Maricopa Hall, where numerous sightings of a young crying woman have been reported

The entire tour is about 45 minutes to an hour. It's also family friendly, but you may want to use some parental discretion — wouldn't want to spook the smallest ghouls.
