Halloween is around the corner. If you don't have plans yet, we're here to help.

While many of these events are for ages 21 and up, some are appropriate for the whole family. If you're looking for a list of events for kids specifically, click here!

Of course, things can change quickly these days so check for the latest info before heading out. Happy Halloween, Tucson! 🎃

Terror in the Corn

This haunted attraction is back for another year of scares. Your ticket gets you access to three scary attractions connected by a cornfield. The event is presented by Buckelew Farm, known for its now-closed pumpkin patch. Terror in the Corn is not recommended for toddlers or small children. Kids ages 12 and under aren't allowed without an adult and parental discretion is advised.

When: 6-10 p.m. select Thursdays and Sundays; 6 p.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays. Also open Oct. 30-31.

Where: 11820 W. Marana Road

Cost: Starting at $28 for general admission, starting at $38 for fast passes.

The Slaughterhouse 

Tucson's haunted attraction The Slaughterhouse has opened for the season with its infested boiler room, creepy clowns and a graveyard. There's also a zombie-shooting experience and "hellevators," among other activities. The Slaughterhouse is recommended for ages 13 and up.

When: Thursday-Sunday through Oct. 29. Also open Oct. 30-31 and Nov. 3.

Where: The Slaughterhouse, 1102 W. Grant Road

Cost: $29 and up.

Nightfall

Nightfall at Old Tucson is back for another year. The website says there are five new "terrifying haunted mazes," plus four new scare zones, stunt shows, a seance and family-friendly attractions. 

When: Thursday-Sunday through Oct. 29

Where: Old Tucson, 201 N. Kinney Road

The Hotel Congress Séance Experience

The Hotel Congress Séance Experience is a live recreation of a Victorian Era-theatrical séance "exactly as performed in 1800s" in the hotel's only third-floor room to survive its 1934 fire (be prepared to go up a few flights of stairs).

When: Various times Oct. 21, Oct. 22, Oct. 26-29

Where: Hotel Congress, 311 E. Congress St. 

Cost: $12.50 for general admission, $25 to participate. This event is for ages 21 and up.

Fall Pumpkin Celebration at Apple Annie's

Take a road trip to Apple Annie's in Willcox for a hayride to the pumpkin patch. Walk through a sunflower field, make your way through the 12½-acre corn maze and pick some veggies to take home. Although this is a family-friendly attraction, we opted to keep it on our adult Halloween list too because pumpkin-picking is fun for everyone 🎃

When: The corn maze is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily through Oct. 31. You can pick pumpkins 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily — but the hayrides to the patch are only open weekends. 

Where: 6405 W. Williams Road, Willcox

Cost: Corn maze is $10 for ages 12 and up, $8 for ages 3-11. Hayrides are $5 for ages 3 and up. Pumpkins range in price.

Marana Pumpkin Patch & Farm Festival

Pick your perfect pumpkin, explore the corn maze, and enjoy a number of kid-friendly activities such as carnival rides and a jumping pillow. Although this is a family-friendly attraction, we opted to keep it on our adult Halloween list too because pumpkin-picking is fun for everyone 🎃

When: Now through Oct. 29; 3-8 p.m. Thursdays-Fridays; 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays; 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays.

Where: Marana Pumpkin Patch, 14950 N. Trico Road

Cost: Online prices are $18 on weekdays, $20 on weekends. It's recommended to buy tickets online, as there are only a limited number of tickets available at the gate. Prices increase by $3 at the gate. Some activities cost extra.

Tucson Terrorfest Horror-Con and Film Festival

The annual Tucson Terrorfest Horror-Con and Film Festival celebrates all things horror with the film festival at The Screening Room and the Horror-Con at 191 Toole. The convention portion has been described as your typical convention experience, like Tucson Comic-Con — but horror.

When: Now through Oct. 22

Where: The Screening Room, 127 E. Congress St.; and 191 Toole, 191 E. Toole Ave.

Cost: $10 for the convention at 191 Toole; $45 for a pass to see all films and attend both days of the horror-con.

'80s Dance Party at Surly Wench

Surly Wench Pub is hosting an '80s-themed dance party as a precursor to Halloween. Costumes are encouraged!

When: 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21

Cost: $5. This event is for ages 21 and up.

Oro Valley Fall Artisan Market

This two-day market in Oro Valley, hosted by SAACA, features more than 100 artisans, in addition to classic truck displays, live art demonstrations, music and crafts for kids. Expect candy apples, pumpkin drinks, a pumpkin patch, pumpkin painting/carving and Halloween face painting.

When: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, Oct. 21-22

Where: Oro Valley Marketplace, 12155 N. Oracle Road

Painting & Vino

If you're looking for something a little more low key this Halloween, attend a paint night with Painting & Vino. There are a number of Halloween-themed paintings including a haunted house and a spooky cat. 

When: Various dates in October.

Halloween at Casa Video

It might as well be Halloween all October long at Casa Video! Watch spooky movies alongside local food trucks nearly every night. On Oct. 27, check out a costume contest with prizes. On Halloween night, Casa Video will be hosting Halloween-themed trivia. If you come in costume, you'll get five extra points!

When: Various dates in October.

Halloween Singo

What's singo? Think bingo, but instead of numbers, there are song names. Music will play and it's up to you to match the name of the song to the music you hear. This is the Halloween version!

When: 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24. Seats are first come, first served. It's suggested to arrive by 6 p.m. to secure your spot.

Tucson Museum of Art's Halloween-themed event returns! Enjoy an evening of music, interactive performances and a cocktail competition.

Halloween Caravan

Go on a family-friendly drive in your own car through Saguaro National Park's Cactus Forest Loop Drive with ranger stops and talks along the way. Learn about sneaky snakes, scary scorpions and all things spooky. Costumes are encouraged!

When: 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27. Cars will be sent out in 20-minute intervals with the last at 7:40 p.m.

Villains & Vixens Halloween Party

Put on your costume or come as your favorite villain to The Jackrabbit Lounge's second annual Halloween bash. There will be burlesque performances and a tattoo pop-up, plus a DJ will spin music, including Halloween mashups, throughout the night.

Tucson Ghost Tour

Take a tour through downtown Tucson after dark, all while hearing haunted stories of spots around town. Tours are recommended for ages 5 and up.

Haunted Ruins Presents Legler's Legacy

Local fantasy park Valley of the Moon is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year with a play that honors founder George Phar Legler and the legacy he left behind. 

When: Fridays-Saturdays in October, plus Monday, Oct. 30. Shows start at 6 p.m. and run every 20 minutes. The last show is at 8 p.m.

Catch poolside Halloween-themed movies at Hotel McCoy, including "Halloweentown" and "The Nightmare Before Christmas."

Court Street Cemetery Walking Tour

The Presidio Museum presents two Court Street Cemetery Walking Tours this weekend, led by archaeologist Homer Thiel. The tours wind through the cemetery, where thousands of people were buried between 1875 and the early 1900s.
