Young Explorers Program at Reid Park Zoo
Drop your kid off at the zoo to learn about the science behind recording animal observations, providing health care, and training the animals from zoo keepers. This event is for children 6-12.

Harry Potter Astronomy at Joyner-Green Valley Library
This free event combines Harry Potter and astronomy. Learn about constellations and stars inside of an inflatable planetarium. Make sure you get to the library 15 minutes before the event to guarantee your spot, there are only 35 spots.

Free princess movies at Tucson's Historic Depot
During Second Saturday's, your kid can do some activities and watch a Disney princess movie at the Southern Arizona Transportation Museum for free. This weekend's film is "Beauty and the Beast".

MLK Day of Service at Tucson Village Farm

Family Fun Day at Tucson Botanical Gardens
Go to the Tucson Botanical Gardens for Family Fun Day. Families can participate in activities, projects and games while also learning about Frida Kahlo.

There is a free concert at Centennial Hall dedicated to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. It's a cant-miss.

BEYOND
Better your life with BEYOND, an annual event that commemorates the Jan. 8, 2011 shooting and promotes public health, this Saturday. Check out the full list of events here but expect lots of runs, walks, hikes and free stuff.
At the main event, families can join the Meet Me at Maynards walk or run through downtown or go to the Children's Museum for free, children can climb the rock wall or jump in the jumping castle, everyone can dance at the three-hour dance fest and pick up free health resources, and enjoy food from food trucks.
This is an all-day event with activities and events throughout town and at different times.

FESTIVALS
Tucson International Jewish Film Festival
Eleven days of Jewish films. Celebrate Jewish culture with movies like "The Pickle Recipe" and "For the Love of Spock".

Where: Opening night is at The Loft Cinema and the rest are in the ballroom at the Tucson Jewish Community Center, 3800 E. River Rd.

Tucson Fringe Theater Festival
Theater nerds, this one's for you. Actually it's for everyone. This year's theater festival brings you 19 plays in three days at four different locations. It's grown more and more each year and attracting larger crowds. The festival brought in about 800 people (!) last year.
Here's a reason to go: It's nothing like you've ever attended before.
