Buti yoga is a combination of traditional yoga poses and tribal dance and plyometrics.

If yoga and brunch isn't the most perfect way to start the day, we don't know what is.

Buti Yoga Brunch is that and more, and you can go on Sunday.

Tickets are $17 in advance and include free Lululemon swag bags for the first 130 people, a Buti yoga class, Tucson Buti Tribe membership, giveaways, prizes and shopping local vendors.

This isn't your typical yoga class. First of all, it's on the rooftop of Playground Bar & Lounge downtown. Second, it's Buti yoga, which is a mix of traditional yoga poses with tribal dance and plyometrics.

"Buti is an Indian Marathi word meaning the cure to something which has been hidden," says Chelsea Moore, a Buti yoga instructor. "So the idea of this primal movement practice is to heal from within and help us to face those things inside of us which are holding us back or plaguing us."

The practice is also community based and helps promote self love as well as uplifting one another rather than being judgmental, she adds.

Before and after class there will be giveaways including one month free unlimited classes at Desert Zen Yoga, a Lululemon Tucson gift card, $50 gift card for Broken Clover Tattoo, wine and more.

After class, Playground is hosting brunch and is offering specials including $5 sparkling wine or orange blossom wheat beer, $6 avocado toast, $8 stuffed french toast and more.

The event is being organized by Old Pueblo Collective, a local group that puts together local events around beer, art and yoga.
