Fall marks the return of cooler temperatures (still waiting on those), Halloween activities and our favorite annual festivals.
But with fall also comes plant sales, where plant parents can pick up native flora, seeds and veggies. Here are eight sales happening soon.
You can find lots of beautiful blooms as well as vegetable plantings at Tucson Village Farm.
Plant and Play Family Day + Veggie Start Sale
Tucson Village Farm is hosting this family-friendly educational gardening event featuring interactive activities and live food demonstrations. Attendees will learn about soil health, composting, bugs and more. While you're there, you'll have the chance to take home veggies to plant in your fall garden.
When: 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 12
Where: Tucson Village Farm, 2201 E. Roger Road
Cost: $10 for Plant and Play Family Day, $5 for kids; entry to the veggie sale is free, but bring money for plants!

Fall Plant Swap with Desert Survivors
Meet fellow plant lovers and swap plants and cuttings during this casual event held at Desert Survivors.
When: 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 12

Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum Plant Sale
The Desert Museum's upcoming plant sale will have around 300 types of plants. The museum will be highlighting five categories of plants — butterfly gardening, hummingbird gardening, tortoise forage, desert aromatics and heritage foods — to help make your garden even more beautiful.
When: 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13. Member-only day is Oct. 12!

Tohono Chul is home to a greenhouse with plants for sale, but also great desert views.
Tohono Chul Plant Sale
At Tohono Chul's annual fall plant sale, you'll find thousands of landscape-ready plants, plus some plants that are harder to find. More than 400 species will be available.
When: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, Oct. 19-20. Member-only day is Oct. 16!

Pima County Master Gardeners Plant Sale
Bring home your newest plant baby (or should we say babies?). Pima County Master Gardeners' upcoming sale features cacti, succulents, perennials, compost and more.
When: 8-11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19

Native Seeds/SEARCH Plant Sale
Find wildflowers and landscape plants grown by Nighthawk Natives Nursery, in addition to herb and veggie starts grown by Native Seeds/SEARCH. This plant sale will also feature a pop-up shop with pantry items and other merchandise.

Tucson Organic Gardeners Fall Fair
Head to this plant fair to find locally-grown plants and seeds from vegetables and herbs to flowers and native plants. There will be garden supplies and fertilizers for sale, too, plus you can get advice on gardening and composting while you're there.

Free Plant N Garden Stands Org, which organizes free plant stands in neighborhoods around the state, is hosting a plant swap where you're welcome to bring seeds, wildflowers, veggies, native plants and more.
