Marana is hosting a pool party for dogs on Sept. 7.

As the Baha Men once said, ๐ŸŽถ โ€œWho let the dogs out?โ€ ๐ŸŽถ

While dogs are usually not allowed in the pool, Marana Parks and Recreation will be draining the pool for scheduled maintenance soon. Before that happens, local dogs can party like itโ€™s the early 2000s during a Y2K-9 Doggy Paddle Pool Partyย on Saturday, Sept. 7.

This millennium party is making a splash from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Marana Park Pool, 13250 N. Lon Adams Road. The event is free to attend, but pre-registration is required.

The pool party has three one-hour sessions to choose from. Each session is limited to 30 dogs. (Sorry owners, no humans allowed in the pool!)

Marana is hosting a pool party for dogs on Sept. 7.

All dogs are required to wear a collar and make sure to bring proof of yourย furry friendโ€™s Marana or Pima County license, in addition to proof of updated rabies and DAPP vaccines. Female dogs in season are not allowed.

The party will also feature a best-dressed contest. Make sure your pup is dressed in their best Y2K outfit for a chance to win a prize. You can also bring unopened pet food to donate to the Marana Food Bank.ย
