Police tape

Tucson police have identified the victim in a Monday homicide on the north side.

27-year-old Bilal Cochrane died after being shot multiple times inside a home nearΒ North Alvernon Way and East Grant Road, said Sgt. Pete Dugan, a Tucson Police Department spokesman.

Officers responded to report of a shooting at a home in the 4000 block of East Flower Street shortly after 1 a.m., Dugan said.

Upon arrival, the officers found an adult male inside the home with obvious gunshot trauma.

Aid from officers and Tucson firefighters was administered, but the victim died at the scene.

Detectives have determined that an unknown suspect or suspects, arrived at the home and immediately started firing at the victim, who was struck multiple times. Several other people were inside the home at the time, the release said.

Anyone with information should call 911 or 88-CRIME.
