Tucson Police, code lights

A 26-year-old woman was struck and killed early Saturday while crossing a street on the city's south side, Tucson police said.

Zuralys Castro was struck about 5 a.m. as she crossed South County Club Road north of East Valencia Road, police said in a news release.

Castro, who was not in a crosswalk, was struck by a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The driver stayed at the scene and has cooperated with the ongoing investigation, police said.
