When you're a kid, not much is cooler than playing with robots.
Except, for maybe building one you get to keep.
That's what children will do when they attend the S.Y.STEM Coalition's Robotics Camp this summer.
This year, the camp is open to children as young as 4 and as old as 15. Camps are divided up into weekly sessions by age.
Students will learn the basics of engineering, mechanical design and coding as they build their very own robot. Campers will get to take their robots home at the end of the week.
The aim of the camp is to get children interested in STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics).
Camps will be held at four different places around town: Nosotros Academy, 440 N. Grande Ave., Tucson J, 3800 E. River Road, Northwest YMCA, 7770 N. Shannon Road, and Children's Museum Tucson, 200 S. Sixth Ave.
Prices range from $150 to $275 depending on location and session.
