The Tucson region ended up with two high school football state champions — ending an eight-year title drought — two more state semifinalists and tons of feel good stories including smashed individual records, Tanque Verde’s first playoff win and turnarounds at Ironwood Ridge, Buena, Catalina and elsewhere.
