Not everyone will want to make jewelry with treasures from the gem show. But some items can easily be used at home. Jenni Pagano, owner of Riveted, a downtown home goods store, gave some suggestions:
- Display chunky strands of beads on a lamp.
- Add a small amethyst crystal to your picture frame vignette.
- Use African mudcloth tossed over the foot of your bed.
- Get a basket to store your magazines, mail or remote controls.
- Buy a rug. Hang it on the wall as a headboard or display it over a large ottoman or sofa.
