Demolition of Tucson's La Placita Village has begun

La Placita Village, the colorful and multi-storied structure in downtown Tucson, is being torn down to make way for market-rate apartments. It opened in 1973 and had more than 200,00 square-feet of office and restaurant space. Video by A.E. Araiza / Arizona Daily Star
