Worldly Ducks

Not only is Oregon without a single player from its home state, but four of the Ducks are from outside the United States — including three of their best players.

Forward Dillon Brooks and injured guard Dylan Ennis are the latest in a long string of Dana Altman-recruited Ducks from the burgeoning basketball hotspot of the Toronto area — Brooks played for Team Canada in two events last summer — while Chris Boucher is Quebecois (hence the pronunciation “Boo-SHAY”).

Then there’s Roman Sorkin, a native of Israel who played for the Belarus national team, and freshman guard Tyler Dorsey, who played for Greece in the U19 championships last summer — even though he's actually from Los Angeles.
