Tucson developers are working on a new shopping center at a former lumberyard in Sierra Vista.

Larsen Baker LLC led the investment group, South Plaza Vista LLC, and plans to remodel the building for retail users.

There is more than 65,000 square feet of space proposed for the center.

The Cochise County Recorder’s Office recorded a sale price of $2.3 million for the former Sutherland’s Lumberyard at 493 N. Highway 90 Bypass.

It is Larsen Baker’s third property in Sierra Vista. The company also owns Cochise Plaza on Fry Boulevards and the VA Medical Outpatient Clinic on Coronado Boulevard.

Peter Villaescusa and Jesse Peron, of CBRE, along with Andy Seleznov and Melissa Lal, of Larsen Baker, represented the buyer. The seller was represented by Velocity Real Estate Group.
