- Nova Home Loans Arizona Bowl 2016: The charitable giving from the 2016 Bowl game was nearly $200,000, with the largest donation going to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Tucson. A portion of the charitable donations will be presented to Diamond Children’s medical center for its Hospital School Program.
- Trico Electric Charitable Trust: The trust donated $5,000 to Step Up to Justice’s Minor Guardianship Assistance Project. The grant will help next of kin secure minor guardianship for children whose parents are unable to care for them. By obtaining guardianship, caretakers can enroll a child in school and ensure that he or she receives nonemergency medical care.
- Southwest Women’s Charitable Club: From June 2016 to May 2017, the club awarded $400 each to Mobile Meals, Literacy Connects and Live Theater Workshop, along with a $5,000 scholarship to a University of Arizona nursing student. The club, established in 1958, also provided a holiday dinner and gifts to a family in need.
