Arby's of Tucson: Tucson-area Arby’s locations are donating $20,800 to United Cerebral Palsy of Southern Arizona and will be presenting a check September 20. This month, joining with Arby’s around the county, the Tucson area Arby’s will also raise money and awareness for local organizations helping youth, including Big Brothers, Big Sisters; Junior Achievement; and No Kid Hungry. Guests who visit any of the local Arby’s restaurants are invited to donate to the organizations.
Wonder World Jumping Castles: Wonder World Jumping Castles is hosting a free family day event on Oct. 6, from noon to 5 p.m. at Emanuel Baptist church, 1825 N. Alvernon Way. The company will set up 10 inflatables at the church and families can come jump for free. The company will also provide free popcorn and cotton candy to all who attend. Owner/Operator Mark Bertram said Wonder World has been providing free monthly birthday parties to families in need over the past year but the demand has been too great, which led to the decision to host a community event.
Hacienda del Lago: The Hacienda is supporting a raffle to help the Boys and Girls Club in Tucson. Every Wednesday from noon to closing, the golf club will donate $1 for every adult drink purchased from noon to closing. Each paying customer will receive a raffle ticket with their drink and can purchase more tickets for $1 each. At the end of the month, there will be a drawing and the winner will receive golf gear donated by The Hacienda, 14155 E. Via Rancho del Lago. Hacienda plans to support a different charity every two months.
