- Beiter, president and chief executive officer of Carondelet St. Maryโs Hospital, was highlighted as one of the โ100 Physician Leaders of Hospitals and Health Systemsโ in the U.S. by Beckerโs Hospital Review, the third consecutive year she has been on the list.
- Carole Siegler:
- Siegler, president of the Catalina Foothills School District board, was named this month as one of five members of the All Arizona School Board, described as the highest honor given by the Arizona School Boards Association.
- Marylyn M. McEwen:
- McEwen, the Gladys E. Sorensen endowed professor for diabetes research and education at the University of Arizona College of Nursing, was honored with the Ruth B. Freeman Award from the Public Health Nursing Section of the American Public Health Association for her career promoting health in Mexican-Americans living in the U.S.-Mexico border region.

- Jeremy Schalk
- , vice president of business operations with Hi-Tech Machining and Engineering, won the boardโs 2014-15 employer-of-the-year honor for his efforts to bring together employers, educators and youths to provide work experience leading to full-time employment.
- Steven Johnston
- won the Youth of the Year honor for his perseverance in obtaining his high-school-equivalency diploma from Las Artes Arts and Education Center, operated by Pima Countyโs Community Services, Employment and Training Department. Johnston came to Las Artes as a 21-year-old high school dropout struggling to balance schoolwork, job and transportation issues. He passed his GED tests in May and is now enrolled at the University of Arizona, majoring in computer science and Japanese.
- El Rio Community Health Center:
- The center was named โLeader in LGBT Healthcare Equalityโ by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. El Rio is Southern Arizonaโs only health-care provider serving the general public to qualify for the designation.
