Two locations of Dickey's Barbecue Pit on opposite ends of Tucson will soon be serving fried chicken and chicken-fried steak alongside its pulled pork sandwiches.

Owner Dave Wirth last week rechristened as Jackson's his nearly three-year-old northwest side Dickeys at 7850 N. Oracle Road in Oro Valley and his Dickey's at 5250 E. 22nd St. in midtown, which he opened in late 2015. Wirth said the name will eventually be Jackson's Country Kitchen, but for now it's just Jackson's.

Wirth said he plans to eventually expand the menu to include such country comfort classics as fried chicken once he retrofits the barbecue-centric kitchens. Right now, most of the menu is focused on barbecue including pulled pork sandwiches, ribs, smoked sausages and brisket.

Jackson's is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

With the departure of Wirth's locations, Dickey's now has only one Tucson-area location, at 7077 N. Thornydale Road in Marana.
