Fidel becomes shareholder at Piccarreta Davis
The law firm of Piccarreta Davis PC announces that Louis S. Fidel has become a shareholder of the firm and that the name of the firm has been changed to Piccarreta Davis Keenan Fidel PC.
Fidel received his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College in 2003 and his law degree from the University of Arizona in 2007. Before joining Piccarreta Davis, he was a trial attorney from 2007-2011 for the Pima County Public Defender’s Office.
He is a board member of Arizona Attorneys for Criminal Justice.
Beal now partner, co-owner at Pima Dermatology
Pima Dermatology announces that Dr. Matthew W. Beal is now partner and co-owner.
He received his doctor of medicine degree at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. He completed his dermatology residency at the University Of Minnesota in 2013, where he served as chief resident his final year.
Board certified by the American Board of Dermatology, Beal specializes in general dermatology, with special interest in cutaneous oncology and psoriasis. He will lead the practice along with its medical director and founder, Dr. Gerald N. Goldberg.
Frances joins Crest Insurance benefits team
Deanna Frances has joined the Crest Insurance benefits team as an account executive, specializing in corporate wellness.
Frances is former regional wellness director with Brown & Brown Insurance in Phoenix, and owns a health-coaching business. She previously worked for CopperPoint Mutual (formerly known as SCF of Arizona), where she was responsible for all workers’ compensation business through the broker channel. She also spent several years with a local broker as an account executive.
UA and Banner welcome physicians Riley, Holm
UA and Banner welcome two physicians:
- Dr. Catherine S. Riley, assistant professor, has joined the Division of Genetics and Behavioral Pediatrics.
As a pediatric developmental and behavioral pediatrician, Riley will provide care for children with autism, ADHD, language delay, learning challenges and other developmental/behavioral issues at Diamond Children’s Multi-Specialty Center and the Children’s Clinics for Rehabilitation.
Riley received her MD from Mayo Medical School and worked as a developmental-behavioral pediatrician at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
- Pediatrician Dr. William L. Holm, a clinical assistant professor, has joined the Division of General Pediatrics.
He will provide general pediatric care for children at Banner-University Medicine Multi-Specialty Services — Pediatrics and specialized endocrine care for children at Diamond Children’s Multi-Specialty Center.
Holm received his MD from the University of Arizona College of Medicine and worked as a pediatric endocrinologist at Dignity Health Medical Group in Henderson, Nevada.
Gootter to open counseling, psychotherapy practice
Psychotherapist Shari Gootter announces the opening of her own practice, Gootter Counseling and Psychotherapy PLLC, at 2450 E. Speedway.
Gootter brings years of experience in counseling groups and individuals working through trauma, mood, and substance-abuse issues in rehabilitation centers, school and trauma-recovery programs. Her approach is collaborative and holistic, using various modalities including yoga.
Letson associate director
at Sonoran Glass School
Nick Letson has been promoted to associate director of Sonoran Glass School, a nonprofit glass-art educational organization where he has served as communications director since 2013.
Letson received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Arizona in 2010 and studied literature and Spanish at the Universidad Católica de Argentina in 2009.
He has worked as a journalist, and as a content writer for a Tucson-based online advertising consulting firm.
