- Pima Federal Credit Union: The credit union donated $50,000 to Tucson Values Teachers to provide $50 gift cards to about 1,000 teachers in the community. The donation comes from proceeds raised through Pima Federalβs Fourth Annual Golf Classic.
- Tucson Sector Border Patrol: The sector donated more than 20,900 pounds of food to local community food banks throughout Southern Arizona, through the annual Feds Feed Families Food Drive, which ran from June 27 through Sept. 6.
- Larry H. Miller Charities: The charities donated $2,500 to Safe Kids Pima County as part of the βKeys to Car Seat Safetyβ campaign and National Child Passenger Safety Month in September. The money will be used to purchase new car seats for those in need.
- Pima County Sheriffβs Department: The department donated a 2003 GMC utility van to the Gospel Rescue Mission, after the missionβs shelter that housed donations and vehicles was damaged by a fire on June 7.
- Washington Federalβs Tucson branch: The branch, through the Washington Federal Foundation, donated $2,000 to local nonprofit Youth on Their Own, a dropout prevention agency for homeless teens.
