• Sundt Foundation: Sundt Construction Inc.’s Tucson employees have selected 13 nonprofit organization to receive grants totaling $18,000 this quarter: $2,500 to Bag It; $2,000 each to Community Food Bank Inc., JobPath Inc. and the Southern Arizona Association for the Visually Impaired; $1,500 to Emerge! Center Against Domestic Abuse; $1,000 each to Candelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Southern Arizona, Hermitage No-Kill Cat Shelter, Literacy Connects, Robles Community Support Inc., St. Luke’s Home, the Sunnyside Unified School District Foundation Inc., Tu Nidito Children and Family Services and the YWCA of Southern Arizona.

• The Foothills Club of Tucson: The club, a 501c(3)nonprofit of more than 70 local business leaders, announced that it has donated more than $100,000 over the last nine years to special programs for Tucson youths.

• Royal Automotive: Royal is presenting its seventh Annual Dog Days of Summer event to help the Humane Society of Southern Arizona and the Pima Animal Care Center find homes for homeless dogs. The dog adoption event will be on Saturday, Aug. 13, from 9 a.m. to noon at MINI of Tucson, East 22nd Street and South Swan Road. Royal Automotive Group will sponsor all adoption fees.

• Cox Communications, SRP, The Arizona Republic and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona: Statewide nominations are being accepted for the 18th Annual Esperanza Latino Teacher Awards presented by those organizations and by Chicanos Por La Causa Inc.
