The Tucson-born-and-based Mr. Baja Fish will open its fourth location next spring near Tucson Mall.

Owner Benjamin Lugo is leasing a 1,547-square-foot space in the Tucson Place Shopping Center, on the northwest corner of First Avenue and Wetmore Road, that is currently home to Starbucks. Lugo said the coffee shop is moving to a building with a drive-through nearby.

β€œI’ve been working on it for a year and a half,” Lugo said. β€œIt’s a great location.”

Lugo launched Mr. Baja Fish in February 2015 at 1905 W. Grant Road. In August, he opened two sister locations β€” 2545 S. Craycroft Road and 4581 S. 12th Ave.

The restaurant serves fish and seafood tacos, platters and specialty items including the house special Fajita Mixta with shrimp, chicken and steak.

Lugo, a 36-year veteran of restaurants who owns several in California, said he hopes to open the fourth Mr. Baja sometime in March or April.
