Eegee's opens south-side location with drive-through

South side fans of Eegee’s can now get their fix without getting out of their car.

The Tucson-born sandwich and frozen drink chain today opened a restaurant at 502 W. Ajo Way that includes a drive-through. It replaces the Eegee’s at 3743 S. 12th Ave., which had no drive-through.

This is Eegee’s 23rd location and at 2,140 square feet, it can accommodate 66 diners. It’s open 9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily; the drive-through is open until 11 p.m. daily.

Eegee’s is known for its signature frozen drink that comes in lemon, strawberry, skinny berry and piña colada, as well as a rotating cast of monthly flavors from frosted grape and lime to watermelon.

The menu also includes salads, sandwiches and fries.
