This Saturday, you can brunch at Baja Cafe for a good cause. The east-side restaurant will donate half of its sales to the medical team at Pima Animal Care Center, which helps abused and injured animals in the community.
Owner Kim Scanlan's is holding the benefit in honor of her late dog Sammy, whom she adopted from the center more than 15 years ago. The Sammy Lulu Benefit to Save PACC Pets will run from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 12 at Baja Cafe, 7002 E Broadway.
