With its stage dark and quiet for the winter, Casino del Sol’s AVA got a bit of a makeover recently.
The beer gardens were expanded and the casino upgraded its payment infrastructure, which will help them get folks in and out much faster.
If you’ve ever snuck out of an AVA concert to grab a beer or soda between songs, you know how torturous those lines could become.
They aren’t finished yet: The venue, the only amphitheater in Tucson and one that can hold 5,000 people, will soon grow its reserved seating area. No details were released, but they are promising more reserved seats.
And they may need them. The first half of the 2018 lineup kicks off Thursday, April 5, with country star Clint Black, and artists set to come include major rockers, big-named country stars and one of Mexico’s most popular singers.
The AVA series runs through September or early October. For tickets to shows at the AVA, 5655 W. Valencia Road, visit tickets.casinodelsol.com
