With a multi-million dollar upgrade and new look, Tucson Arena is ready to rock, and it's getting some attention for just that.

Billboard Magazine, the long-running publication for all things music, has recognized Tucson Arena's potential and included it in their article, "23 New or Renovated VenuesΒ Looking to Lure This Year's Top-Selling Tours."

With its 8,400 seats, Tucson Arena- located within the Tucson Convention Center Complex- is the largest venue in town and according to Billboard, attracts fans from throughout Southern Arizona and northern Mexico.

"A seven-day-a-week work schedule allowed a $3.7 million upgrade of the Tuscon Arena to reach completion by Oct. 1, 2016 without bumping any scheduled events," the article says.

The arena- which hosted Elton John last week- is in good company on this particular list, occupying space with venues like L.A.'s historic Greek Theatre and Brooklyn's Barclays Center, which welcomed Bruce Springsteen last year.
