Historic Craft Demonstrations — Tumacácori National Historical Park, 1891 E. Frontage Road. May include, tortilla making, paper flower making, pottery, or O’odham basket weaving, or other art forms. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. April 5-9, 12 and 13. 377-5060.
Gentle Nature Walk — Sabino Canyon, 5700 N. Sabino Canyon Road. Learn about the desert on a walk led by a Sabino Canyon Volunteer Naturalist. 10 a.m.-noon. April 6. 749-8700.
Family Sleepover: A Night at the Mission in 1917 — Tumacácori National Historical Park. Spend the night as caretakers of the church. Traditional cowboy dinner, s'mores, music, and breakfast included. Reservations required at recreation.gov. 5-9 p.m. April 7. $20. 377-5060.
History Hike — Clanton Ranch, Escapule Road, Sierra Vista. The Friends of the San Pedro River will offer a walk to learn of the family history and life before/after the infamous gunfight at the OK Corral. The two mile hike is on dirt trail that ends in a short, rocky and uphill stretch. No shade, bring hat and water. Suitable footwear. 9-11 a.m. April 7. Donations accepted. 459-2555.
River Walk — San Pedro House. The walks are led by The Friends of the San Pedro River. Look for 82 species of mammals, dozens of reptiles and amphibians and nearly 350 species of birds. Suitable footwear and water. 8-10 a.m. April 7. Donations accepted. 459-2555.
Historic Tour — Historic Canoa Ranch, 5375 S. I-19 Frontage Road, Green Valley. Join a walking tour of the ranch headquarters. Visit the historic buildings and corrals and enjoy the special exhibits. Online registration required. 9-10 and 10-11:30 a.m. April 7 and 10. 724-5220.

Anza Tour — Historic Canoa Ranch. Learn about Colonel Juan Bautista de Anza and the group of Spanish colonial settlers. Online registration required. 9-10 a.m. April 11. 724-5220.
Hike Anza Trail — Historic Canoa Ranch. Explore a 2 to 3 mile easy level interpretive hike and discover the cultural and natural history of the Santa Cruz River Valley. Ages 12 and up. Online registration required. 8-11 a.m. April 11. 724-5220.

Birding Agua Caliente Park — Pima County Agua Caliente Park, 12325 E. Roger Road. Take a guided walk to see a variety of birds such as waterfowl, raptors, woodpeckers, and songbirds. Loaner binoculars available. Online registration required. 8-9:30 a.m. April 5 and 12. 724-5375.
Birding — Historic Canoa Ranch, 5375 S. I-19 Frontage Road, Green Valley. Join a local birding expert to see a wide variety of sparrows, raptors, and the possibility of waterfowl on the newly restored pond at Historic Canoa Ranch. Online registration required. 8-10 a.m. April 7. 724-5220.
Hummingbird Banding — San Pedro House, 9800 E. Highway 90, Sierra Vista. A close-up look as staff and volunteers from the Southeastern Arizona Bird Observatory capture, band, weigh, measure, and release them as part of long-term studies of the bird life of this vital migration route. 4-6 p.m. April 7. Bird Walk — Environmental Operations Park, Hwy. 90 east of Sierra Vista. Led by docents from Southeastern Arizona Bird Observatory and the Friends of the San Pedro River. A 50-acre wetlands planted with aquatic plants, including cattails, and grasses that attract migrating and nesting birds. First come first served basis. Flycatcher ID Class — Agua Caliente Park, 12325 E. Roger Road. Class will focus on the important field marks that are helpful in identifying birds that can pose serious identification challenges. Ages 12 and up. Online registration required. 10 a.m.-noon. April 8. 724-5375.
