Residents of the Blenman Elm neighborhood, established in the early 1900s, will open up their doors for a home and garden tour on April 14.

Tucson is home to a number of historic neighborhoods. Surely you’ve driven by and wondered what the inside of those charming dwellings look like. Well, here’s your chance to get a foot in the door.

For the first time in eight years, the Blenman Elm Neighborhood Association is hosting its biennial Neighborhood Home and Garden Tour on Sunday, April 14.

The iconic neighborhood was established in the early 1900s north of Speedway in between Campbell Avenue and Country Club Road, and capped by Grant.

The self-guided tour, from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., will feature historic homes and gardens designed by nationally renowned architects, master gardeners and sculptural artists, according to a news release.

Visitors will also see homes reimagined with green infrastructure, exemplifying sustainable and adaptable living.

Funds raised through the tour will be used for neighborhood projects like pocket parks and community artworks. A portion of the proceeds will also benefit Blenman Elementary School, the news release said.

Funds from the self-guided home and garden tour will support neighborhood projects.

Tickets are $30 through behometour24.eventbrite.com. They can also be purchased in-person on the day of the tour at the check-in station, 1650 N. Bentley Ave.
