Sabrina Carpenter Slams White House For Using ‘Juno’ In ICE Video

Sabrina Carpenter has criticized the Trump administration after the White House used her song ‘Juno’ in a video showing ICE agents making arrests. The 20-second clip showed ICE protesters before shifting to footage of agents detaining allegedly undocumented immigrants, captioned with her lyric, “Have you ever tried this one? Bye-bye.” Carpenter responded in an X post, writing, “This video is evil and disgusting. Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda.” In a statement, White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson responded to the singer's comments, saying, “we won’t apologize for deporting dangerous criminal illegal murderers.” Jackson added, “Anyone who would defend these sick monsters must be stupid, or is it slow?” Many people believe the song choice felt pointed, as Carpenter’s recent tour featured her playfully “arresting” a fan with fuzzy pink handcuffs during the song. Despite her public objection, licensing rules for copyrighted music on social media may complicate any efforts to remove the video.
