The Awam Tibetan Buddhist Institute, 3400 E. Speedway, will celebrate the Tibetan Buddhist holiday Chokhor Duchen, the "Festival of Turning the Wheel of Dharma" with a potluck and fire ritual, 6 p.m. Saturday, August 6, according to press materials.
The festival commemorates Buddha's first sermon after his awakening and the giving of the Four Noble Truths, the fundamental principles of Buddhism.
