As part of the Jewish community's recognition of the 50th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem and the 69th anniversary of Israel's independence, the Tucson Jewish Community Center, 3800 E. River Road, will host a showing of the National Geographic documentary "Jerusalem" 1 p.m. Sunday, April 30.
At 6:30 p.m. Sunday, April 30, the Jewish community will discuss "My Israel Moment" on a panel at the community center. A Yom Hazikaron ceremony will follow honoring fallen Israeli soldiers and terror victims.
Other activities include a concert by adult and youth choirs at Congregation Anshei Israel, 5550 E. Fifth St. 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 2 and the lecture "Bridging Through Water" 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, May 7 at the Tucson Jewish Community Center.
