In recognition of the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation, leaders of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Tucson and the Grand Canyon Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church made a statement of Christian unity and respect Friday afternoon.
Bishop Gerald Kicanas of the Diocese of Tucson was joined by Evangelical Lutheran Bishop Lowell Almen to express a continued commitment to "mutual understanding" according to press materials.
