English ivy and holly climb the wall to the left of the entrance at the new home of the Elk Harwoods in Vista De Las Candelas Estates north of Tucson. Pittosporum, yucca, palms and star jasmine are among the plantings around the house.

A marble pastry block centers this preparation corner at the left of the kitchen. The area is designed for baking and spice shelves with a lift-up door are built in under cabinets beside mixer.

A honey-toned game set in rattan stands in the west corner of the family room where Schroeder and Suzette pose. Family room is floored in vinyl travertine. Paneling is in pecan and walnut.

The same slate floor as in the foyer is seen in the dining room off the family room. A scene in Mexico done in oil by Paul Madlin of Casa Grande is mounted on the fireplace wall of the family room.

Fireplace wall in the living room is constructed entirely of ledge rock from the Superstition Mountains. A wrought iron rail marks the entry to the lower leveled living room. Foyer floor is in slate in tones of green.

Sliding glass doors in the master bedroom provide a view of the patio as well as the city to the south. Draperies in antique white are bordered at the top in a design of burnt orange and beige embroidery.

This bath off daughter Bobbi's bedroom is done in gold and white tile in a crystal finish. Wallpaper is printed with little gold and white cherubs. Obscure glass panel offers light while preserving privacy.

Sago palms enclosed in square brick planters highlight the patio. Porch furniture is in a combination of honey and turquoise with glass topped tables. The floor is cement scored in squares.
