Gusty winds that started Wednesday night will continue Thursday throughout southeast Arizona, with speeds up to 45 mph a possibility, according to the National Weather Service.
A wind advisory is in effect until 4 p.m. today with wind speeds of 25 to 35 mph in the valley. The mountains and areas east and north of Tucson will likely see stronger winds.
Despite the blustery winds, temperatures will continue to stay above normal through next Wednesday, an extended forecast said.
Today's predicted high is between 77 and 81 degrees.
Friday's forecast is sunny with a high of 82 degrees. Saturday is expected to be partly cloudy with a high of 86 degrees, before a low-pressure system moves into town on Sunday, bringing with it the possibility of showers.
