A 54-year-old man has died nearly two weeks after being struck by an SUV while running across a street against the light on the city's north side, Tucson police said.

About 6 p.m. Nov. 3, Jonathan Bryant Dubois was crossing East Fort Lowell Road near North First Avenue when he was struck by an eastbound Toyota 4Runner, police said Wednesday in a news release.

Investigators were notified Nov. 16 that Dubois died from his injuries.

In the crash, police say Dubois was struck while running across Fort Lowell outside of a crosswalk as the Toyota passed through the intersection on a green light.

The unidentified driver stayed at the crash scene and cooperated with police.

Jaywalking was a major contributing factor in the crash, which still is being investigated, the release said.
